Joseph Karl Stieler (1781 - 1858) was a German painter. He is known for his Neoclassical portraits, especially for the Gallery of Beauties at Nymphenburg Palace in Munich.

Thank You again egines, The flowing fluid montage was almost mesmerizing. Goethe & Beethoven provide some comic interlude. What is the most interesting though is that many of the women have almost identical facial structure with only hair, eve color, and wardrobe differing. Pehaps the iconic beauty of the time?
